I am here at the SIFT ( Summer Institute For Future Teachers) at Eastern Connecticut State University because I definitely want to become a teacher in my future. I would like to be a teacher, specifically English, because I want to make a difference in the world. Ghandi once said ” Be the change you want to see”, well I believe that in order to see the change in the world, I have to become a teacher. My generation is the future and if I am determined to help students to become leaders of the future, it would be through teaching. It is always good to want to help people and that is the way I want to do it, by teaching. I want to see the smile on my students face when they past a test, when they walk into the room, when they realize that they have someone everyday that cares about them and their future. I want children to stay out of the streets and be happy to come to school because they know that there are better opportunities in learning and that Education is key!
